NETA U.S.A.
NETA's Boston office serves as NETA headquarters,
home to our teacher training workshops and center for all NETA operations
in North America.
Hilla Kobliner, Founder
and Director
Hilla Kobliner was born in Jerusalem. She received her B.A. in Literature
and Language in Education from the Hebrew University, and her M.A. at
the Harvard School of Education in Boston. She has been a senior instructor
of Hebrew at the School for Overseas Students at the Hebrew University
in Jerusalem since 1968. Hilla has trained teachers and taught Hebrew
at the University of Illinois, York University in Toronto, Canada, and
at Tufts and Harvard Universities in Boston. She has co-written over 20
books for the teaching of Hebrew.
Currently, Hilla oversees all aspects of the NETA
program. She continues to write curricular materials while also running
teacher training workshops, traveling to schools, monitoring the NETA
evaluation process, and continuing to develop originate ideas and plans
for NETA's future.
Naomi Stillman, Associate
Director
Naomi Stillman serves as the Associate Director of NETA. Born in New York,
she has spent a great deal of time in Israel. A periodontist with a master's
degree in public health, Stillman left dentistry in 1999 to turn to fields
nearer to her heart. She has extensive experience in both formal and informal
Jewish education, and most recently served as President of the Board of
Ma'ayan, Boston's Women's Torah Learning Initiative. Since taking her
position at NETA in 2002, she has run the Boston NETA office. She serves
as liaison to the Israel team, Hebrew College, and AVI CHAI, overseeing
all aspects of the project, and helping to create the vision for NETA's
future.
Michael Weidman, Business Operations Manager
Michael Weidman is the Business Operations Manager for NETA, based in our offices at Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts. Mr. Weidman is responsible for all of NETA’s budgetary, financial, administrative and system areas and also serves as the liaison to both Hebrew College and AVI CHAI for all business and financial matters. Michael brings over 20 years of operational and financial experience, primarily in the education and training areas of the high technology industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Business Administration from Clark University.
Faina Kutsman, Coordinator of Operations
Faina Kutsman is Coordinator of Operations for NETA, based in our offices at Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts. Faina is originally from Moscow, Russia and immigrated to the US in 1989. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Faina is responsible for providing assistance to Business Operations Manager in the areas of budget and finance, book ordering and travel arrangements, providing administrative support and data maintenance in these and other related areas. Faina is also responsible for providing assistance to the Associate Director with all functions of the NETA operations and the NETA office.
Ada Reiter, Coordinator for Academic Programs and Marketing
Ada Reiter was born in Israel and has lived in the United States for nearly 10 years. Ada comes to NETA from the world of high-tech, and her years of experience in management, marketing and product development serve her well in her capacity as NETA's Coordinator for Academic Programs and Marketing. Ada oversees every aspect of the many courses offered by NETA at Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts, providing personal attention to each participant while keeping a close eye on the big picture. Ada is also involved in the crafting of NETA's marketing strategy, including development of the upcoming video and events for prospective NETA participants.
