Welcome to the NETA Web site (“NETA Site”). The NETA Site is produced by The AVI CHAI Foundation (“Avi Chai”) in partnership with Hebrew College ("Hebrew College") (together, “we” or “us”). Please read this User Agreement carefully, because by visiting or using the NETA Site, you agree to be bound by and comply with its terms. If you do not agree to comply with this Agreement, you are not authorized to use the NETA Site.

We may occasionally revise this User Agreement. We will post any changes to this web page, so be sure to check it from time to time, because when you continue to use the NETA Site after we post a change, this means you agree to the new terms.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We have developed the NETA Site so that you can visit it without revealing any personal information about yourself.

The NETA Site automatically collects anonymous information from visitors, such as their Internet service provider (like AOL or ATT.net), the type of browsers they use (like Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer), the type of computer system they use (like Windows or MacIntosh), and what pages they visit. The anonymous information collected through the NETA Site will never be identified with or lead us back to any of the Site visitors.

We collect this anonymous information by using "cookies," which is an application that allows the NETA Site to be customized to the preferences of the visitor by placing a small file on the hard drive of the visitor’s computer that tracks the visitor's navigation and stores information. Most Internet browsers will let you disable cookies, but if you do so, you may not be able to benefit from some of the ways we customize the NETA Site for our users.

We also collect IP addresses from NETA Site visitors, which is a number assigned to each visitor by a Web server. This information is collected for the sole purpose of analyzing how visitors use the NETA Site so we can continue to improve the quality of the Site and respond to the needs of our visitors. We do not use IP addresses to gain further information regarding our visitors.

We collect personally identifying data about you online only when you provide it to us voluntarily via email. We will use your personal data only to respond to such requests. We do not share your personal data with any third parties other than service providers who use the information only to help us respond to your requests. We never rent or sell your personal data.

For one-time requests for information, we do not store your personal data after we fulfill your request. For requests to be placed on our mailing list or requests for information about NETA, we store your data in a secure manner and safeguard it from unauthorized access in a secure, restricted-access database. However, no data transmitted over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, you provide us with this data at your own risk.

Our databases are located in the United States. If you are located outside of the U.S., by sending us your data you consent to its transfer to and storage within the United States.

The NETA Site and all its contents, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, data compilations and software, is owned or licensed by Avi Chai and is protected by United States and international copyright laws and other intellectual property laws.

You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, enter into a database, display, perform, create derivative works, transmit, or in any way exploit any part of the NETA Site, including its computer programs and other coding.

You may not copy, distribute, enter into a database, display, perform, create derivative works of, transmit, or otherwise use any materials from the NETA Site (including computer programs and other code), except that if you are an authorized NETA teacher, you may access the password-protected NETA curriculum materials (“NETA Materials”) and download machine-readable or print paper copies of the NETA Materials for non-commercial and personal or educational purposes only, and only if you do not alter the NETA Materials or remove any trademark, copyright or other notice displayed on those NETA Materials.

Trademarks

NETA, the NETA logo, AVI CHAI, the AVI CHAI logo, and any other trademarks on the NETA Site are trademarks owned by The AVI CHAI Foundation ("Our Trademarks").

You may not use Our Trademarks in connection with any product or service that does not belong to us, nor in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among users about whether we are the source, sponsor, or endorser of the product or service, nor in any manner that disparages or discredits us.

Links, Frames and Metatags

You may not frame the content of the NETA Site. You may not use metatags or any other "hidden text" that incorporates Our Trademarks or our name without our express written consent. You may link to the home page of the NETA Site as long as the link does not cast us in a false or misleading light. THE NETA SITE IS AVAILABLE “AS IS.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER LAW, WE DENY ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE NETA SITE OR ANY INFORMATION, GOODS OR SERVICES THAT ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE NETA SITE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE NETA SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. Limitation of Liability

Some states do not allow the limitation of liability for these kinds of damages, so these limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate access to the NETA Site and this User Agreement at any time without notice, for any reason, including, in the case of the User Agreement, for your violation of any of these provisions. The Limitation of Liability and Governing Law Sections of this User Agreement shall survive such termination.

Governing Law

This User Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of New York applicable to contracts made and performed there without regard to its conflicts of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of this User Agreement is deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severed and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
